Product research radar for e-commerce sellers

Know what sells before you spend a cent.

Kestrel watches search demand, live competitor ads, and buyer chatter every day — then hands down one verdict per market: Hot, Promising, or Weak. Every morning, an edition of what moved overnight is waiting.

Three lenses on every market

Each source watches a different truth.

Ads prove someone is paying to sell it. Search proves people want it. Retail proves they buy it. Together they separate real opportunities from noise — product validation done with evidence, not hunches.

Ad Intelligence

Every active ad competing on a keyword — who runs them, how long they've been live (30+ days = proven spend), which creatives win, and the stores behind them.

Search Intelligence

Search volume, CPC, difficulty, and 12-month trend curves with buyer-intent classification. Momentum tracking flags demand that's rising before it's obvious.

Community & Retail Signals

Buyer chatter velocity across Reddit, TikTok and X — plus Amazon retail movement: what people actually buy, not just what they click.

On watch: Meta's public ad library · Google search demand · Amazon retail movement · Reddit, TikTok & X. Coverage follows your workspace country — US by default.

The method

Scan. Watch. Act. Return.

Scan

Type a product keyword. One sweep covers the live ad landscape and search demand, then returns a 0–100 score — and shows exactly why. No black boxes.

Watch

Pin keywords and advertisers to a niche watchlist. The radar collects fresh data every day on its own — and never touches your scan units to do it. Pinned keywords lead the next morning’s edition.

Act

Signals fire only when something moves: demand spikes, a rival ramps ads, a community heats up. Your feed stays quiet until it matters.

Return

Every morning an edition assembles itself — what changed overnight, fresh dossiers, the countdown to the next sweep. Opt in and it meets you in your inbox.

While you sleep

The radar hunts. You choose.

The Prospector

It hunts while you sleep.

Before dawn, the Prospector fans out over rotating categories: it expands demand maps, pulls live search economics, probes the ad library for proof of spend, and scores every candidate the same open way you see in the app.

Most candidates fail. The few that survive land in your feed as finished dossiers. Track one and the radar re-aims. Pass, and it never shows you that idea again.

Dossiers cost nothing but reading time. Never scan units.

Niche Blueprints

Type an interest. Get a blueprint.

Give the generator any interest — dog training, home espresso, anything — and it researches the whole niche in under a minute: a keyword basket with live demand, every curve classified against twelve months of history, the questions buyers actually type, and the advertisers already paying across the basket.

It closes with a verdict and a recommended entry point, not a data dump.

Pricing

One meter. No traps.

Scan units are the only thing you pay for. One dud product launch — stock, ad spend, wasted weeks — costs more than a year of any plan here. Watching niches, daily collection, and the signal feed are always included.

Questions

Asked straight.
Answered straight.

Where does the data come from?

Public market surfaces only — Meta's ad transparency library, search-demand databases, Amazon retail movement, and open community activity. We don't scrape private data or estimate revenue we can't see. Every number on the dashboard is observable.

What's a scan unit?

The single billing meter. A full market scan costs 10 units — so the free plan's 200 units cover 20 complete scans. Watching niches, daily collection, and signals never consume units.

Why does ad longevity matter so much?

Nobody funds a losing ad for 30+ days. A long-running active ad is the strongest public evidence that a product is profitable — stronger than any engagement metric.

How do I know if a product is worth selling?

Run a market scan. Kestrel checks proven ad spend, real search demand, how crowded the field already is, and Amazon retail movement — then returns a 0–100 score with the full breakdown: 70+ is Hot, 40–69 Promising, below 40 Weak. You see where every point came from, so you can argue with it.

How can I tell if a market is saturated?

The Headroom part of the score counts the active ads already competing on a keyword — a crowded field costs points, and the scan lists every advertiser it found so you can see the crowd for yourself before you spend a cent.

Does Kestrel work for dropshipping product research?

Yes — and just as well for private label, print on demand, or any store deciding what to stock next. The evidence reads the same either way: ads that have survived 30+ days, demand that's genuinely rising, and retail proof that people buy. The 20 free market scans are enough to test your current shortlist — no card.

Do I need my own accounts or API keys?

No. Kestrel runs its own intelligence network. Sign in and start scanning — nothing to connect, configure, or pay for on the data side.

How fresh is the data?

Community and video sources sweep every six hours. Search demand and competitor ads refresh daily. The Prospector hunts every morning. The app shows a countdown to the next sweep, so you always know what you're looking at.

Will Kestrel ever spend my scans on its own?

Never. A scan runs only when you press the button. Daily collection, the signal feed, and the Prospector's dossiers all run without touching your units.

Can I cancel or walk away?

Any time. The free plan never expires, no card exists until you upgrade, and your niches keep collecting while you're gone — the morning edition will be waiting. Just try it free →

Tonight

The next sweep runs tonight.

It runs whether you're watching or not. Set up a workspace and put one niche on watch — under a minute — and by tomorrow morning your first edition will have assembled itself: what moved, what's heating up, what deserves your budget.
